We are on day nine We’re almost halfway through our getting organized program for February Woo Hoo! Okay, so today’s easy Today is just like there’s nothing to it. It’s just a little doc, little, it’s just an expert, excerpts from the business blueprint which is you know like all the roles and responsibilities and Policies and checklists and flowcharts and contracts and all that good stuff now This is just a little one and and I just thought you guys Need it Because it come up a lot Cell phone policy so this is the thing if it’s not written It’s not real Okay, so this is why you’ve had to repeat it or remind them so many times It needs to be written it needs to be real and you can also have them Sign this as a part of their orientation packet so in the business blueprint I know I provide the first like I Think it’s three or four sections that goes over like you know holidays and sick time And and you know what to wear code of conduct dress code, You know all that kind of stuff and and some of the key rules And there is even a spot where they they sign like the sexual harassment policy And the NDA non-compete and and this is one that would be nice to have them sign because a lot of times It’s really not adhere to very well. Especially on cell phones that maybe you pay for because they are using their cell phone a lot for Clients and vendors and this and that I mean it’s kind of hard for them to do their job on the interior design side If they’re not using their phone so a lot of times you are paying for their phone But that still does not mean that they can use their business time Instant messaging Chatting and doing everything else on their cell phone. They just never I mean I’ve been in office. It’s like literally I’m doing an intensive like I’m all I doing a Molloy make over and someone’s sitting there And we’re doing a training or whatever And they still got their cell phone in there like to kind of pay attention and then kind of not You know and like check-in it, and they’re looking up and then checking it now Uh-huh no no no no no we don’t do that so this is just a document basically saying that they really are not to be doing that at all and on some people’s phones They’ve even gone as far as Creating a separate ringer for any kind of business contact so when you’re entering in a business contact You can put in What kind of ring it is or? Alternately you can put a special ring if you’re getting tons of business calls and vendors And you’re not programming all their numbers under your phone alternately what you can do is create a separate buzz or vibrate and Ringtone for family so that if you’re worried like oh well I have to be able to pick up my phone cuz my my 9 year olds is riding his bike home And you know if he needs me I need be I’ll pick up so I still need it, but if I’ve got a special ringer associated with That call then I don’t have to worry about how to look at it unless it has that particular tone so and also Instant message on the computer so there’s a lot of different ones I think I use MS messenger iMessage Google Chat and all the instant message apps In you know they’re actually pretty helpful in the office especially if you guys have offices that are kind of spread around I prefer that to go through another kind of system like an asana or a Reich or something like that but There’s still good reason sometimes to have that instant message on If you’ve got someone that works remotely, it’s really nice. This is the rule if it isn’t for business They’re not on the instant message associated with that computer period I had I mean I walked in to Offices in my team and literally you know so and so is chatting with some group chatting up some girl that he met last night and in whatever and You know they’re instant messaging on my dime No, just just not no Especially if you’re not even like in the same little area And they’re in their own office by themselves which was the case I mean unless you’re sitting over them looking at their computer going what? Are you doing? You don’t know what they’re doing? You assume they’re working, but no no chatting away You know so anyway. They know so I know that this is one that comes up a lot And it’s really hard to implement, but man you can’t even think about implementing that until it is written if it’s not written It’s not real so anyway. I just want to give you this because Most of you need it so anyway.
