Environmental Design at Gibbs prepares students
to be leaders in their communities. We are looking for students who want to improve
the world around them, and impact the places where everyday people work, play and grow. We partner with local communities on placemaking
projects that support historic preservation, improve accessibility, and boost civic pride. Students work closely with OU’s Institute
for Quality Communities and take courses in regional and city planning, urban development,
landscape architecture, interior design, construction science, preservation, and more. From revitalizing historic downtowns to imagining
new neighborhoods, Environmental Design students learn how to solve real-world problems and
help communities thrive. Design Sooner at the Gibbs College of Architecture.
