How to Own a Daycare : Grants for Daycare Centers

Hello, I’m Sarah Norris from Total Childcare
in Wilmington, North Carolina and this afternoon I’d like to talk with you about grants for
childcare centers. For profit centers, grants are almost nonexistent. It’s very hard to
find many grants that are for profit centers and so you have to be very astute in trying
to find ways of raising money for your center because you cannot charge parents what the
true cost of quality is. And therefore you will need to have possibly some fundraisers,
you will need to seek out businesses that might be willing to help your business or
to help parents with childcare expenses. You can do sales within your community, special
projects with the community, from which you receive some of the funding. For non-profit
centers, there are many, many more grants and there are a lot of ways that you can access
those grants. Mainly online, like grants net, grants mall, the National Endowment for Humanities,
the National Association for the Education of Young Children. So use your resources,
talk with your community people as well, and you will be able to find some extra funding
within your area for your childcare center. These are a few of the ways that you can help
fund your center.

  1. here's a few ideas to consider before you start your own cleaning company
Will you have support from your family?
Are you someone who is self-motivated?
Will you carry out your plan?
Do you have the money to start?
(I read these and why they work on Quintrell Care Plan site )
