♪ ♫ music of the intro ♪ ♫ Welcome back MayaTubers ! I´m Carlos Álvarez Velázquez, and in today’s tutorial we will see the interior lighting at night .. I put here the result of the tutorial will be changing the images … if you are already a subscriber of the channel you will know the tutorial about the interior lighting with daylight in VRay and Maya. I put the link here of the video tutorial ☝ because you have to see it Yes or Yes, because the final result of that tutorial, we will use it to start with this tutorial It is very important that you first do the first part of the tutorial to start with this tutorial, okay? all the types of lighting that you have seen in the miniature we will do in the tutorial! ❤ ☝ you will learn to use the lights and extras that you see in the video and the material to create translucent elements with VRay Double Side Material in Maya nunca encontré información al respecto y por eso vengo aqui ha ayudaros a aprender a como se usa finally the ones in VRay Mesh Light, any object can emit light without using VRay Light Material good MayaTubers !! I hope you like and learn a lot with this tutorial, see you in the tutorial! bye!! Hii, remeber you that we leave it in Maya’s daylight interior lighting tutorial with V-Ray for the new users of the channel I leave the link of the first tutorial or for those who want to see it again because I’m going to use the final result of the first tutorial, to start with this tutorial, ¿Ok? I recommend that you copy just the values of the Physical Camera and those of the Render Settings I doing a render so you can see the initial result, which is just as we left it in the first tutorial ops!! it´s rendering the perspective view haha
uff I love it !! ❤ ❤ ❤ okay let’s render the RenderCamara and not the perspective hehe so you check that it is true and that you need to finish the tutorial of the interior daylighting first, ¿Ok? 1st step is to eliminate all the exterior lights and turn off the only interior light. Watch the video I make a render to verify that I do not have any light and it looks all black … Correct it looks black. well in reality there is always a little light pollution either by the moon or by the cities, let’s imitate that type lighting the minimum lighting, for example imagine that we are in the city and have streetlights near the window, Ok? How do we get that effect?
very simple with the VRay Sky for example and we indicate that we want the manual control, click on Overrides Sun Settings, because we do not have Sun hehe we lower the intensity to 0 350 and to put the colors at night I have a tip in Filter Color we start with a low value of 4, for the next we add 3, Ok? 4+3=7 and the next one equal, 7+3=10 in RGB and we get a harmonic night tone ❤ and in the Albedo Ground put an almost black: RGB=2,2,2 Very easy, no? we already have a minimum of light that comes in through the window, let’s do a render, Tip: If you get a lot of light, configure the physical VRay camera as the previous tutorial. ok? Render pause the video and now I come back when I finish finished! What do you think about that? we have that minimum of light from light pollution or from moon ☺ we already have the first lighting completed, if you turn off the lights of your room you will see this lighting active one moment the color space sRGB so you can see it with more light and noise zones … fuera de la habitación se vería mucha más luz pero queremos iluminar la habitación con luz nocturna … I speak a lot haha … this lighting could be the start of an animation and shortly after imagine someone turning on the TV come let’s turn on the television! for this we apply the VRay Light Material to the TV and where it puts color, we can use temperatures or textures, but for this example will use a texture , we click on the checker Click in File, we open file of the tutorial miniature of modeling the Forge Grilles. i like this tutorial hehe this image is not HDRi, nor does it have many whites, so we can put a high intensity but imagine that the texture has a lot of white, then put a lower value of 10, but in this example I will put 25 don´t get scared because in the Sampler or in the ViewPort 2.0 you see it is very burned – 25 is good Turn on the Direct illum with 64 subdivs, (You can´t modify the Subdivs? activate the Subdivs Render Settings>VRay>DMC sampler>Use local subdivs – turn on) we launch another render and we see the differences with the TV on very interesting the result, right? What do you think?
I remind you that I have activated the Denoiser I show you the render with and without the Denoiser VRay
I leave here the tutorial where I explain how it works ☝ if you do not want to use the Denoiser, add more Subdivs to the BF and lower the Threshold in the Image Sampler I love how the television illuminates the room ❤
What’s your opinion? How do we illuminate the lamp correctly? already created the spherical light of VRay of the other tutorial I’m looking for a warm tone I show you the values, 2500 Temp, 450 Intensity, 64 segments and I’m going to exaggerate the subdivis to 126 do not be afraid of it, okay? I’m going to put the Limit Region to do a Render by CPU IPR or Interactive Render.. now, we are going to turn on the light, look what happens, the lighting is correct, but Are the lamps opaque? …?
How do we make the lamp translucent? I show the error that every user would do it .. using logic, modify the opacity of a VRay material haha, right? and never use Refraction which is to create transparent materials or SubSurface Scattering because this is very complex There are several methods, to achieve this with materials of the SSS type with the VRAY Fast, but for this tutorial We will use the material of VRay Mtl 2Side, it has more uses, but also to make materials with translucency we apply it, and we lower the translucence to black by the moment ⌚ … pff I’m sorry I talk a lot haha … ⌚ instead of using it to have 2 materials in single face, I add only one material in the Front Material alone a VRay Mtl and we get the same result as the initial one and I increase the color to a target a moment i rename the materials so as not to confuse them haha so that the material is no longer opaque, we can play with the translucency and bring it closer to white we get it to be translucent and backlight the fabric of the lamp, but never you deactivate the Force Ok? … you can use textures to make translucent zones and others no ** It is one of the many uses of the VRay 2Side **
well I put in RGB=75 in Translucency Tex great! we getting the desired effect, because lets pass light and becomes incandescent by 30% when putting in the RGB=75 I deactivate the Limit Region I do a complete Render, and now you can see a warm and pleasant tone What do you think? We have another type of lighting and it is very interesting! I like it !! ❤ I remind you that this is the study of the base of a lighting, it does not have materials, it is only light! hehe We have already seen 3 types of lights in VRay, Sky, Material and the spherical … But can an object be a light in VRay? … if VRay has the Mesh Light, I select the object and we will create the VRay Node Mesh Light click MBR>Turns selection into lights (Mesh)
and in the attributes we see the options the options are similar to those of a VRay Light, configure it as seen in the video or to your liking ☺ and we are going to do a render to see if the object emits light now i will come back !! hehe Cool I like it !! ☺ It is a very interesting tutorial because you have learned to create a sky without a sun or to create a light material with VRay Light Mtl for TV, create a VRay Light Sphere for the lamp !! materials with translucence to let light in and create objects that emit light with VRay Light Mesh for the next lighting we are going to merge the VRay 2Side Translucent material with the VRay Light Mesh ☺ Let’s review the last 2 methods learned, this part don´t need transcription, pls be attentive to the video ☺ so in this example, the amount of light that passes through the panels is better appreciated. Put RGB=230 so that the material allows more light to pass through. I do a render !! I love it!! hehe ah I remind you that you can change the values of the post production in the VFB I leave in the description of the video my configuration of the VFB with a file type Dock Correction What would we lack to illuminate? the ceiling lights, in my case are recessed spotlights in the false ceiling for this we go to the persp, and I show you how are the spotlights, with the reflective pattern and the bulb we select the reflecting part and the bulb of all the bulbs … and we apply a VRay Light Mtl don’t want the VRay-Light Mtl to illuminate the room, just i want to give the appearance that they are on and then add to each bulb a VRay light of the Circular type that will be responsible for really illuminating everything MBR>New Material>VRay Light Mtl I want a cold or white light,
we change to Temp and put 6500 we activate the Direct illum and 32 Subdivs and the Multiplier in my case to 25 that I have a very large room ☺ now we only need to add the VRay Light Rect lights to each light focus and configure them, watch the video ☺ we are going to launch a render to see it ☺ ohh very good result ! this is a good base and good lighting studio to texturize it after ☺ Now you can change the configuration to each light and go off and on again until that you will find the one you like best if you look at the window, it seems that we have turned off the VRay Sky, but no, in reality it is still active but having more light inside the room generates the same effect as in reality but if you look better you can clearly see the VRay Sky hehe I make a comparison in the VFB! watch the video ☺ for this example the windows don’t have glass, if you want to use glass and it gives to you any problems, for the Alpha look for the video tutorial ☝ I leave the tutorial: 3D Camera Tracker … inside of the tutorial I explain how to solve the Alpha problem using glass in the windows ❤ I leave you with the Final Renders ❤ Write me in comments your doubts, opinions or new ideas to make tutorials? 8. Buen tutorial Carlos, pero pienso y siempre desde mi punto de vista que tendrías que hacer tutoriales de iluminación con Arnold ya que es el motor de render actualmente mas utilizado por la industria cinematografiara el cual es mas fiel y real.

  9. me llamo Jhon Almeiro Herrera.

Saluds
