Interior design inspiration – bedrooms and bathrooms using Versital solid surfaces

A beautiful house that’s been built from bottom to top completely designed by an architect and by the owner, in conjunction with ourselves at Langley’s and Peter Langley primarily doing all of the designs so very excited to find out what’s been going on! Well Langley’s as a business now is space design I would say. Its about getting the best out of the space that we are given. And because we are completely bespoke we are not stuck to any standards we do all of our own finishes so colours or sizes are not an issue at all for us. We are a family company service, quality is a top priority really. Its all about lovely fittings this is a bank of double wardrobes… Mr and Mrs Palmer came in via recommendation, came into the showroom one day I had an initial chat with them, and it went on from there really. They spent a lot of time in the showroom They were looking at all of the features that are designed into the displays and once we’ve got the shape of the rooms set out they chose certain features that were in the shop it was my job then to try and design those into each room. And with the bathrooms we used the Versital products combined with Villeroy and Boch our own furniture and we use that as a unique concept really in the bathrooms there is nobody else doing that anywhere. This is one of the en-suite bathrooms they’re all really nice sizes we’ve got some brilliant designs using Villeroy and Boch using Versital throughout all of the bathrooms in different colours so in this one we’ve got ‘Just Silver’ and the ‘BlackJack’ which is a black sparkle. This is the second of our en-suites for these three main bedrooms we’ve got in this property. We’ve got a fantastic sized walk in shower. We’ve got these beautiful panels here thats ‘Stone’ and we’ve got ‘Granite’ as well. It looks seamless and its just easy to keep as well. This is the third of our bathrooms all of the final fixtures and fittings put into place These are the blueprints that all of the fitters are going to work off so this is Peters original design. All these are all of the wired spotlights so you can see its going to be beautifully lit. So really excited, its really taking shape now. Then its on with the bedrooms! We generally see the first impressions of people that come into the showroom is a big ‘wow!’ really. The majority of our clients tend to come via recommendation or are past customers, it shows that we are doing something right. We have a chat, go to visit sites, produce some plans and drawings, bring clients back in, and move it on from there really. Oh my word! Nice aren’t they? That is fantastic! Its beautiful. I’m thrilled! Oh wow! Ah! She’s gone for the white ‘High Gloss’? Yes! Suzie’s room they liked the walk through wardrobe situation so the walk through wardrobes into the bathroom This is really nice. Oh fab! In Michaels room that was really about getting the best out of the space available. And this is my sparkly bathroom! It will be fantastic if all our clients gave us a budget. Mr and Mrs Palmer gave us a budget. People are very guarded with budgets because they think you are just going to rip them off. Really what we want to do is know not what they can afford but what they are prepared to spend. What I like to think it is, is excellent value for money. I wouldn’t ever design something that I wasn’t pleased with but what I will do always is give my personal advice. With the wealth of experience that we’ve got, you know we’ve got 40 years behind us and we will give our professional advice and more often than not people will take that. In their master bedroom Mrs Palmer particularly liked the big headboard arrangement that we’ve got with concealed LED lighting, and masses of wardrobe space. Beautiful, beautiful doors, fabulous shoe drawers, and lighting that is just to die for! Very very pleased with it, I feel it fits in perfectly well. Massive shower isn’t it? In Suzie’s room we’ve put one of our bright colours ‘Very Berry’ on the worktops, which Mrs Palmer wasn’t too keen about at first she liked the ‘Very Berry’, but wasn’t convinced that it was the right thing to do so I said to her ‘Look, Glynis if you don’t like these when we’ve fitted them I’ll take them off free of charge and put something else on’. So we had to go with the red and it looks fabulous. The bathrooms lovely, and it all works very very well. Every job we do is different but all our clients are different, its for their personal needs really, its what their aspirations are its up to me to try and get out of them what they’re trying to achieve and give them their dream really. I’m proud of everything we do. I find them to be totally professional, they’ve guided us hand by hand right the way through the whole experience, the level of workmanship from the guys I can’t fault them, I can’t say anything more we’re thrilled.
