International Study | K-State AP Design

So, there are a lot of opportunities for AP
Design students. We can study abroad at the second semester
of our fourth year. A lot of the students go to K-State Orvieto
which is in Italy. I went to Copenhagen, Denmark with three other
K-State students. And then a lot of my classmates went to other
places; Austria, Germany, Australia. Or you can design your own programs and they’re
really helpful with that – the faculty are. The College of AP Design views studying abroad
as a way to grow independence. The great thing about architecture is that
you can look at a building and you can guess what time period it was built, the political
history behind it, the economic history behind it. A building says a lot and by traveling abroad
you can actually gather a lot about the history of someplace because of the building. I think traveling abroad really helps you
put what you’ve learned into practice. Traveling through AP Design to sum it up is
transformative.
