LOOKBOOK 2016 | The making of my first designer collection | FASHION PROJECT #1 | Justine Leconte

What is your first impression about the collection? Well, first of all, I find it really great I like the colors, they are calm Those are calm, earthy tones, that Justine has used The cut… is very new, totally different and yet the collection has a “classy” touch That’s a combination I really like How was the fitting on Friday? You tried the clothes on, right? – Yeah, correct, I tried everything on Friday for the first time Ok, first of, it was super relaxed we were at Justine’s place we checked what we can combine and how… which shoes, which jewelry goes with what… … and if I also fit into everything! yeah, that’s it, we tried a few things… … and today is THE D-day … (laughs) If you want chocolate, let me know! – Yeeeeeeeeeeah… … I waaaaaaant! (laughs) The bracelet is here…?! (laughs) I am bugging…!!

  1. I love your pieces. โค๏ธ Such beautiful details. I enjoyed the coral colors, the collars and the bow on the bum of the pants. This has really got me dreaming.

  2. Congratulations, Justine!!!๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Beautiful pieces, comfy and stylish ๐Ÿ˜

  3. I particularly liked the bow detail on the back of the skirt & trousers. I trust the bow didn't require undoing to put on or take off the garments. I liked the neckline on the sweaters too. Very nice collection.

  4. I just wanted to say, what a wonderful model you chose!!! Tabitha looks like a real person (not a clothes hanger), she's healthy, and she's beautiful too!!! I hope we'll see more models like her in the fashion industry, as it used to be up until the 50's…

  5. there's something very old about that jacquard pattern, it makes the models look 10 years older than they probably are, ..and what woman wants that? the other pieces are lovely basics though for a capsule wardrobe; my favorite are the pants in peach and tan

  6. Hi Justine! I just started following you and it's feels like i can't get enough!! I adore your work and I had to say that I just LOVE the fact that everyone on set are ladies!! GIRLPOWER! keep the great work! peace from Israel

  7. It really fits what you said about "being for a woman who doesn't even consider other women as competition" !!!

  8. I'm very much in love with your skirt. I wish I could see how it fits a curvy 5'3" US size 4 person. Congratulations on a beautiful and functional clothing line.

  9. In my opinion, the model was an ill fit for the style of your collection. She seems nice, but was too rigid and did not sell your designs. I look forward to seeing your evolution in this field. Such potential!

  10. I see you love "wraps" drom wrap tops to wrap bottoms ๐Ÿ™‚ This really excites me and I have always been in love with wrap anything. I think there is nothing more chic than a black wrap-dress with a crisp collar and sleeves. Your style is right up my alley. Those pants are gorgeous!! I checked out your website and the all black ensemble which looks like it's the black tee inside the wrap top paired with the black wrap skirt is so beautiful. I love how each piece can work on it's own with jeans or other fitted slacks or put together with other pieces in your line to make a unique outfit. Congratulations!! Your line is perfection!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Respect for this work. The effort will pay off for sure. I truely believe in your success <3

  12. The audio was terrible. Sorry, i could not concentrate on the visual aspect of the video….

  13. I really liked your "take" on the stand-up collar – it is almost a shortened "echo" of the shape of a bolero jacket – it would work well for me in the winter – warmer but not the "turtleneck," which looks horrible with my short neck and large square jaw. How can I order a piece or two from your collection?

  14. I love how every piece of clothing in your collection can be dressed up or dressed down. It's really practical.

  15. I just wanted to say how much I enjoy Justine's videos. So informative and she's so easy and enjoyable to listen too. Such a sweet personality! ๐Ÿ™‚ She has quickly becoming one of my favorite YouTube personalities over here in Canada.

  16. Congrats Justine beautiful collection 2016. maybe a petite person and average weight will not look so nice?

  17. The model was beautiful but not a great model. She looked like she wasn't comfortable in front the camera. She was stiff, to me. Also, all I could think about with the bow in the back was how uncomfortable it would be sitting on it. You sure couldn't wear it on a plane. But super interesting video.

  18. For some reason this made me feel emotional. I'm so very happy for you. Its a fantastic collection.

  19. Lovely clothes! And, Justine, you might present your clothes by yourself as a model – seriously! I wonder whether you wear clothes designed by yourself?

  20. congratulations! !!!!! Wishing you much success in all that you do. loved the bow idea. looked comfortable and easy to wear. also looked like could be dressed up or down. best to you :).

  21. Hi Justine ! Great Job !!Nothing to do with the topic, but how tall are you ? Seems like you could model to:)))

  22. I don't mean to be cruel, but why would any women want to place large bows in the back of skirts and pants? Very unflattering silhouette. As unflattering as the dropped crotch.

  23. nice color choices, good looking fabric, elegant and comfy looks, simple basic silhouette with details and finishing touches that go extra steps, which says quality. very coherent collection!

  24. Hi Justine, I want to give you my honest opinion about some pieces in this collection, and hopefully you will be able to find something constructive in it. I think the trousers look so bizarre, especially in the crotch area. I can't imagine any woman of any age wanting her crotch to look like that, and the bow at the back doesn't help as it looks like she has a tail. I think at 9:07 we can see how unflattering the silhouette is despite the gorgeous colour. It looks slightly ill-fitting and the extra length at the bottom doesn't help, visually. The T-shirt looks very luxurious but the proportions of the sleeves and the neckline are slightly exaggerated in a way that doesn't necessarily compliment the human proportions, and certainly not the proportions of this model.
I think however that it shows the amount of effort you put into your first collection and it's hard not to appreciate that, especially considering how charismatic and thoughtful you are. Wish you a very successful career.

  25. just beautiful, I am in love with the pants. so very relaxed yet very girly, it's so perfectly between!

  26. Justine, I would love to know how your collection looks on you or maybe on other people. You could post some pictures…

  27. Fรฉlicitations trรจs belle collection, quelques morceaux irait bien dans ma garde robe. Je viens de dรฉcouvrir votre site et j'aime beaucoup. Bonne chance dans tout vos projets.

  28. I'm not going to say I love it or hate it! I'm just going to say what I love to purchase the most is jeans, a classic white shirt, and I love jackets made out of JEAN materials! Also basic black flats are hard to find and black pointy heels with a lower heel are hard to find, comfortable!!! And I love statement bling bling statement jewelry pins to put on my jackets, and I love love scarves!!! There you go!!! Good luck to you, many good wishes!!๐Ÿ‘โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘

  29. Thank you for showing the process of the lookbook. I have worked with fashion photographers as the hair and makeup artist and I can appreciate the hard work that goes into a shoot.

  30. Justine!
I love your tips, and you have become a favorite channel. I binge watch in the morning for inspiration. The pieces are unique but also mix and match worthy, really good! The comfy fit printed wrap shift really caught my eye, I will have to check out your full collection. Thanks for sharing!

  31. Oh my God!!! I love your collection, beautiful work, perfect colours ๐Ÿ˜ Come to New Zealand we need you here!!!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

  32. Finally someone that thinks about the cut, the materials, the fitting and also how to make a woman feel sexy and elegant!! BRAVOOOO!!!

  33. Oh this was your first collection! I thought it was recent. If this was made in 2001 or around that time this makes perfect sense. I do like the bow at the back. If the pants didn't fit so low down, I would wear them I think. I kept on wondering why everyone was wearing those dreadful low rise jeans.

  34. The pieces I see, (in my view) are for older women of 40+. They have a corporate, neat-casual office look (you were in a corporate role, so they reflect who you are). They don't compliment younger women. Maybe you're targeting an older clientele.

  35. I'm sorry, but I don't like the garments at all. Some fitting issues on the model at the crotch area, a bit puffy and masculine, too long and wrinkly at the ankles. To me, are a bit unappealing, and plain looking for my taste.

  36. Thanks for sharing Justine. Loved your colors & textures of fabrics and fresh clean lines. And the shoes too. I loved your choice of model. She has great energy. She lets the clothes speak for themselves.

  37. Letยดs face it you won't be able please everybody, but thatยดs not what your collection is about. You have real balls for making those daring choices Justine, I can definitely see the tremendous amount of work behind it. Keep on rocking girl xx N

  38. I loved the pants, I have a similar one I bought in Brazil where women dress in a more light and modern way. The bow is beautiful too. In Brazil, we have wonderful bodies and your clothes can definitely suit our needs as we like art and comfort.

  39. Loved all the tops, as for the infamous trousers, they made me think of menswear in the 18 hundreds, especially at the crotch. I love the bow but believe it would be much more flattering higher up on the waist. In fact I believe the trousers and the wrap effect at the crotch would all look much better at the crotch if lifted to fit higher up and sit midriff. I believe this unique closing would be amazing for maternity wear as it would allow the waist to expand and still have the strings from the bow to make the waist adjustable. Keep up the good work, cannot wait to see your "Racine" Project. Xx

  40. I agree with the previous comments: a beautiful model who really represents the style created by Justine Leconte. Love the color combinations with beige/black, mandarine. Ankle strap shoes with just above the knee skirt(rather like a skort) and the adorable and clever bow at the back of the slacks. ( I am so tired of the 5-Pockets!!) Congratulations!
