Mood Board Interior Design | RugKnots

Hi there and welcome to mood board Monday
this week our color inspiration from design seeds is inspired by the muted
tones and dewy nature of early spring this picture of tea surrounded by roses has
that bright relaxed feel I’m going for I’ll be incorporating these colors the muted blues soft creams and deep mauve to design a lovely cozy living room. here is the mood board I’ve put together I tried to create something really soft feminine and comfortable
with the colors from the design seed now let’s dig into my pics I provided the links to all of the these items in my blog post in the description below I I chose this bright ivory and gray woolen
silk rug because I didn’t want to overpower the space with dark colors the muted
palette of this rug creates that soft feminine vibe I’m looking for now on to the lamp this is one of the only dark colors I used for this design because
the lamp is so small the dark green will be a good accent color for other
accessories I suggest a blend of this dark green and some whites or creams for the chair I really wanted to bring in the blue as a statement piece this blue
still soft enough to be appropriate and is so classy with its tufted features
and since we’re here already almost straight to my pillow choice my first
pillow is this fluffy guy this pillow brings in that deep mauve
from the color inspiration in a small dose my other two pillows I wanted a
bold pattern and some texture which the blue and white chevron and round rose pillow
pull off perfectly because of the natural aesthetic of the color inspiration I wanted to bring
in some greens I chose these ceramic pipe vases because of how simple they are
with all the patterns going on in the room already I wanted something straight and
to the point and the same goes for the sofa I wanted
something simple in a cream color that will complement the Oriental rug last but not
least the curtains I love how the intricate details of these curtains are so bright
airy and feminine this classic blue and white china pattern not only plays off the blue and
white pillow it ties in nicely with the teacup my color inspiration thanks for
