Good morning, I am Karim Giordimina. I am the interior design director for Opel/Vauxhall. We wanted to create the best interior in its
class, so lets take a look of what we did. We’ve integrated full width décors in the
cars that really accent the width of the car. It doesn’t feel like a small car interior.
It feels much more like a premium up-level vehicle. We divided them into two. So there
is a blade like feature in the upper-portion of the décor. And then because we wanted
to do something very special with the car, we wanted it to stand out amongst all of the
small car competitors. All of the materials that we’ve chosen in the car are premium
materials. We put a lot of effort to make sure that we have the perfect blend of the
right materials. Our class-leading IntelliLink system is perfectly positioned within reach,
also surrounded by a piano-black finish. We went the extra mile and put subtle, chrome
finishes around all of the switches. We wanted to make sure, that even our doors have the
highest level of functionality possible. We sculpted – working closely with our engineers
– a storage area that accommodates up to a one and a half liter bottle. That is a huge
storage area. So we did something special on the fabrics as well. It’s not a traditional
weave. It gives our designers incredible creative opportunities because it is a printing process.
So literally what we can do on the fabrics is only limited by the imagination. I think
you can tell that we are really excited about this interior. I am extremely proud to have
worked on this interior. You gonna have your first chance to see it in Paris and maybe
we gonna have a chance to meet there as well. So thank you very much and see you in Paris.
