Tips From Us: How to Keep my drapes from getting stuck on the rod | Video #70

Steve:
Here’s another tip from Galaxy Design to you. A lot of time our clients ask what do I do
when my drapes seem to not open that easily and they keep getting stuck.
Its very normal, over a period of time. The friction of the rods going across one another,
rubbing against one another it has a tendency to wear the wood out.
Also the dry air and dust has a tendency to also avoid it from moving back and forth.
So all I suggest for you to do is simply some pledge and a paper towel and apply the pledge
onto the paper towel. Just once you’ve done that, all you have to do is simply go ahead
and move the rings back. Just gently move them back. All the way to one side.
Polish the wood. You’ll find that it’ll be a miracle.
They’ll just move so smoothly now. No problem at all.
As you can see there’s a lot of dirt coming off of it.
So I’m going to go ahead and do the same thing on the other side.
And here we go. Smooth as you’re going to get them.
So here’s another tip from us to you. Please go ahead and subscribe to us if you
haven’t done so already.

  3. There's this tape sold on Amazon that eases the curtain rings to pass the rod joints, https://www.amazon.com/Tapes-Curtain-Rings-Slide-Joint/dp/B01LX79DRU.
