Hello, I’m Rémi Gréau, Associate Director at Aktan and service designer. My job is to help our clients design and deliver services that create a positive impact on people and on their business whatever the industry be it mobility, energy, manufacturing, banking, insurance or retail. Designing with this dual people/business objective involves facilitating the emergence of data and knowledge before integrating them cross-analysing them and aligning them. The data can of course be related to service usage but also to the actual experience of employees, the market the company, or to its culture, organisation or strategic intentions. Being a service designer at Aktan means looking at the world by connecting universes and skills to be able to transform them into awareness. We use prototyping and all design tools with three key objectives: First, to bring about and generate this openness collection and sharing of knowledge between business lines, marketing, sales, strategy, customer relations, etc. Second, to give shape to the service, to the experience. We can experiment with it, get it wrong, and iterate it to base it firmly on the real life experience. Third and more importantly, to orchestrate and design the form of the system system that will be used to deliver these coherent, desirable experiences. So, we not only help our clients design but also deliver services with a positive impact. That means creating enthusiasm and motivation in users, as well as in employees, who will deliver and experience the service. Service design covers more than space, products and digital technology It starts with people, and their relationships, interactions and perceptions To be a service designer at Aktan, you have to want to change the world and enjoy working with living and constantly changing matter. That’s the most exciting but also the most challenging part of the job.
