Hi, I’m Rebecca Hay of Rebecca Hay Designs and I’m here today with Livabl at the Interior Design Show in downtown Toronto. It is newly revamped and we are gonna show you all the greatest and latest in home trends. This is the BD Salvage booth — a perfect gem this year at the design show. This company goes into old buildings before they’re torn down and salvages beautiful architectural elements. It is a great way to infuse a little bit of history and character into your design. As a designer, my philosophy is please reuse wherever you possibly can. Before sending it to a landfill. So what a great find — definitley worth checking it out. I’m here at the House of Rohl booth, where they’re showcasing beautiful products by Victoria + Albert Baths from England. This open-concept vanity is adorable! It has a beautiful quartz countertop, right on trend! Open-concept, open shelves is the way to go these days. I can just see it in a little powder room, or two sinks in a beautiful master ensuite. What a great product. We all love color. It is a trend, showing up in every facet in the design world. And what better way to introduce color into your home then these incredible appliances. Viking has hit the nail on the head — gorgeous variety of colors to add and infuse personality into your own kitchen. We spend a lot of time in our kitchens, and this, to me, is a fantastic new addition to the design scene. Rubinet has a great example of beautifully customizable faucets and fixtures. It is limitless what you can do. They have wonderful color — matte white, 22 colors are available. Mixing metals with color. Adding texture to handles. They’re even introducing a new faucet option to do a customized inlay in the handle of the faucet. It really is an incredible example of customization at its finest. Those are just some of the great design finds this year at IDS. I hope we’ve inspired you to tackle your next design project!
