Whiteboard Wednesday: Restaurant Interior Design

Hey, I’m Patrick from Upserve, and today
we’re going to share 3 steps to improve your restaurant’s interior design. Your restaurant’s recipe for success requires
so much more than just food and service. People should enjoy the space just as much
as they enjoy the food. So embrace your inner designer and have some
fun! Your guests have plenty of options when it
comes to where to eat so how is your restaurant going to stand out among the rest? Your restaurant design should support your
restaurant mission. It should engage your guests on a deeper level,
and attract them to come back again and again. Once you decide who you are, you can start
getting into the fun part. The key factor to achieving ambiance? COLORS! Guests react to colors in different ways. Red’s and yellows are easy and positive,
but can also be overbearing. Purples and blues suppress appetite. Neutrals are easy (beige, ivory, white) can
look tired over time. Trending now? Grey. It gives a fresh and current look and allows
you to use bolder pops of color in other areas. When considering lighting it’s key to think
about this: One: What kind of food do you serve? – Bright lighting can be great for fast casual,
but not so great for fine dining. Two: What color are your walls? Three: What areas of your restaurant do you
want to highlight? Four: What is the mood and feel of your restaurant? Bottom line, Don’t underestimate the power
of Good interior design. It’s just as important as the food and drink
on your menu so spend time thinking about your restaurant’s personality, and consult
a pro designer for guidance. Thanks for joining us for this episode of
